This is my umpteenth attempt at blogging…let’s see if it sticks this time!
This is just a quick post to say hi, so hi! I’m Chantelle. I don’t really do nicknames, but some of my friends have been known call me Chan (my preferred pronunciation is shone, as in shone a light).
A handful of things about me:
- I’m a cisgender woman;
- I’m a white Anglo-Celtic Kiwi-Australian;
- I’m a university undergraduate student, studying to attain a Bachelor of Journalism;
- I’m a novelist and poetess with an insane case of writer’s block; and
- I’m pagan, specifically a witch, with my main focus being hedge witchery and everyday witchcraft.
I’m also a feline foster carer, an occasional artist, a yarn-bender, neurodiverse, and demi-bisexual…but that’s quite enough to be going on with, don’t you think?
This blog will be updated every second Wednesday, possibly with occasional extra asides throughout the fortnight. This blog will be a place for me to discuss aspects of my life, and to publish articles about marginalised peoples and their portrayal in both news and popular media.
Speak soon!
Chan xoxo
